Life is a catwalk, darling, or at least my driveway is!

I'm now about to start my sixth week in self-isolation, and its a bit of a kicker. With Easter gone, it feels like there isn't anything to look forward to until this coronavirus situation shifts. I've never been very good in limbo - patience is not a virtue of mine - so I'm getting a bit restless. Still, if we have the chance to save lives just by staying home, then that's amazing.

To be honest, it's a miracle that it's taken me this long to start getting restless, but with a full-time job and two kids under five at home, I'm busier than ever.

At least this time is teaching me to really appreciate life's small pleasures and be thankful for my family and our good health so far.


So keeping up with my 'Shut In Style' series has been a small way of cheering myself up. I've also been really enjoying joining in with the community of fashion bloggers, sharing looks and getting inspiration.

This is the most 'fashion blogger' I have felt for a while, so I was quite pleased with myself. Of course, my actual daily uniform is black gym leggings and an oversized hoodie, but it's good to get dressed up from time to time and feel like an actual human adult, isn't it?

This blouse is something I had to have when I first saw it. Topshop are absolutely killing it for me at the moment. It's somewhere I tend to fall in and out of love with (sometimes I find the designs a little bit too fashion for my tired mum brain to handle), but I've bought several pieces from them recently.

Zara, however, is somewhere I return to time and again - they approach trends in a much more timeless way and their clothes always make me feel great. I adore leather pieces in black, but also in unexpected colourways too, and this baby blue skirt felt really 60s mod. I appreciate anything that lets me play act being Jean Shrimpton for a day!

I paired the top and skirt with these marvellous mules from Kurt Geiger, which went straight into my basket after I spotted Millie Mackintosh wearing a pair last summer. They are super easy to wear but have a mirrored block heel that I really like.

The Snapshot bag adds a little more of a street vibe with its sporty, wide strap. This was my constant companion when we were in Italy last year (take me back there!) but has mainly been in its dustbag since. I don't actually buy bags very often as I prefer to save up for the best quality I can afford. Although nothing thrills me more than a new bag!

They say the devil is in the details, so for accessories, I added this so-pretty-it-hurts seed pearl headband, my absolute favourite delicate bracelet and this cool Roman coin necklace. I've wanted one of these for a while now, and this one turned up in the latest FitFabFun box!

Finally, I got a new pair of sunnies! My go-to brand is Quay Australia, I love their design-led styles which are great quality, so I treated myself to this very cool, thick-rimmed pair which I've been wearing almost every day since.
